God-Shaped

But now, O LORD, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand. (Isa 64:8)

You exist to be God-shaped:
* Father-defined (Eph 1:3-4)
* Christ-centered (2 Cor 5:14-15)
* Spirit-led (Gal 5:25)
* Gospel-empowered (Rom 1:16-17)
* Faith-fueled (Heb 11:1-6)
* Glory-focused (1 Cor 10:31)

“For those whom [God] foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son…” (Rom 8:29) 

“Conformed to the image.” That’s what a potter does. He takes a messy lump of clay and forms it into something useful, even beautiful. That’s what your Creator wants to do with you. Like a skilled, patient potter, God can wash, sanctify, and justify us. Even when we’ve made a mess of our lives, he can pick us up and transform us into “his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works” (Eph 2:10).

You exist to be God-shaped.
