WANTED posters, made famous in the days of the American Old West, still dot the landscape of U.S. Post Offices and other government buildings. Do you realize that in a very real—even more serious way—you are wanted?
The Personalities Who Want You
- Satan is an adversary (1 Pet 5:8), a liar (John 8:44), and an accuser (Rev 12:9-10).
- God is your Father (Acts 17:25-28), a truth-teller (Heb 6:18), and a refuge (Psa 46:1).
What These Personalities Want For You
- God wants what’s best for you (James 1:2-12, 17-18).
- Satan wants what’s worst for you (James 1:13-16; 2 Cor 11:3).
The Motive of These Personalities
- Satan operates out of sadistic hatred (Luke 22:31; Rev 12:17; Eph 6:10-18).
- God operates out of sacrificial love (John 3:16; Rom 5:6-11; 1 John 4:10).
What These Personalities Want With You
- God wants to use you as a building block (1 Pet 2:1-5).
- Satan wants to use you as a stumbling block (Matt 16:21-23; Rom 14:13; Matt 18:1-7).
Where These Personalities Want to Take You
- Satan wants to drag you to hell with him (Matt 25:41).
- God wants to lift you up to heaven with him (Col 1:13-14; 2 Pet 3:9; Matt 25:21).
