Our Father in heaven is a gracious giver (Matt 5:45). His Son taught us, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). Our Father loves when his children act as “cheerful givers” (2 For 9:7). All of which means that God has always wanted his people to be “ready to share.”
What does that look like in the life of an individual disciple of Jesus? How does it apply to local churches? Needs are everywhere, but what can we learn from the pattern preserved in the Bible, and why does that ancient pattern matter?
